It's all about the fun! for these two teams competing individually, yet side by side,

 mother and daughter took their horses to the USDF Dressage Circuit

 while cross-competing in the Pleasure Horse Show Circuit.

The byproduct:  Friesians of Tranquility bring home an unprecedented

30+ 1st place 2011 Year End Championships.

It's not about the ribbons; it's about what comes out of the hard work put in to achieving them!

  On September 22, 2011 Onyx M. (left) became 1st Premie Ster Mare, Mare Champion and Keur Champion!
Alexis Ierardi and Bouke H. are the IBOP Iron Spring Farm Dressage Cup Challenge Champions!

A very intense competition against seasoned professional and FEI Dressage Trainers, Alexis Ierardi's performance was stellar.  Still a junior exhibitor, Alexis and Bouke H.(right) proved (to the imported Dutch Judges who offered extreme thorough and critical analysis) that her hard work and dedication was more than worthy of taking home the coveted IBOP Iron Spring Farm Dressage Challenge Cup Championship.

Onyx M.(left) had given it all for the Dutch judges who were very impressed by her exceptional conformation, movement and fitness, she was a clear stand out in the line up of all the mares presented and the only 1st Premie of the Keuring.  Training with Alexis Ierardi, Onyx is currently in a medium dressage program to keep her in perfect shape for her Lolke 371 Sport foal due in June 2012.  Onyx was encouraged to come back in 2012 for Crown consideration.

Anne Wiske T. and Sandra Ierardi were the recipients of the Marilyn Shea Memorial Award for High Point Ladies Pleasure at the MHC Classic's Horse Show, September, 2011.

Marilyn Shea was an avid horsewomen who was loved by many.  The trophy was a bowl she won with her Morgan "Whitefield" which was an end of year  North Shore Horsemen's Council's in hand champion. Her family friend, Steve Lamson put it together, to commemorate a beautiful life of a wonderful women.  Her proud son Bobby Shea presented the award with MHC Vice-President Felicia Knowles,

I was very blessed and extremely surprised to have won this year's Marilyn Shea Memorial Award.  Anne Wiske T., my 11 year old Friesian Mare who I trained predominantly by myself since 2005, has become quite the show buddy, which is fitting that we achieved this wonderful honor together.  - Sandra Ierardi

Elsje Onyx Turns 2 - Happy Birthday.
Standing 15.1 hands at the tender age of two, this girl is going to be tall like her sire Lolke 371 Sport.
A kind soul, beautiful like her mom (Onyx M. Ster), smart and sensitive, she dons a thick curly forelock, tail and feathering,
and is happy to be by your side.  She hypnotically steels your heart away.

Looking back...at 2009 

  Wow...We have had a wonderful 2009, with countless reasons to be proud of these beautifully magnificent creatures, who take such good care of us!  First and foremost, Bouke H. takes a proud step toward the top of the Junior Exhibitor division, winning 1st Place Championship.
